Sikkim,a dream land

I know that there are a very few people who get such a opprtunity to have a life time experience in the age of mine with the beauty and fascination of a place where everyone would dream to be a part of and discover a place within India which seems to be a completely different country far away from our usual life and never the least the peoples with such simple mind.I am fortunate in this case to visit  such a place and get associated with those peoples being disconnected from the rest of the world and out of the monotony of the daily usual life may be it was only for 7 days.

We six close friends from Macdonld Hall Russel , Pravin, Obayeed , Srikanta, Tanmay and myself were there

for last seven days as we want to make our collge life much more memorable with the spicy experice of a place we were completely unawared of.Thats why we had decided to visit to Sikkim which always held a special fascinaton for tourists across the globe.We all really enjoyed a lot and experienced something

spicy to be last long in all of our memory.

Sikkim,the place where culture, nature are in abundance. There’s captivating sight seeing we all came across at gangtak, nathula,lachen,lachung,gurudonga and yumtang valley.And above all, Zero point  is just an amazing place one cannot afford to miss!and I think all those places is undoubtedly the most exciting and beautiful tourist spot in the world.

The first day in Sikkim we spent our time at the capital,Gangtak.We had seen some otstanding sight seeig

around Gangtak and we bought few things which are special and famous for Sikkim.The next day morning we were all set to go to nathula,probably the highest point in Sikkim.Thats why we were expecting more ice and snow.But the weather betrayed us.It was raining and we had not been able to seen the road also,we were going through except the driver as he was driving with full speed.That was quite adventurous.As I said due to the bad weather we had seen some ice and now but not in abundance that was what we were expecting of.We also visited Tsangoo lake on that day.The day was good but quite dissappointing.

The next day as per the instruction we got ready for the way to Lachen which is 130km away from gangtak.

And instructor Runuda told us that that will be a hatric (hectic) journey lol :)But the joy of watching beautiful places did not make us feel like a hectic journey though it was a journey of about 7 hours.We reached Lachen in the evening and spent that night with the very good hospitality of the people of the hotel Mount pandim. They were truely awesome and superb as they have a great heart and I felt that I am one of the lucky people to get associated with such people and that memory I can cherish throughout rest of my life.

The next day very early morning we all set to go to gurudonba from lachen.But the path was unknown for

the driver too as he was there for the first time too.As days past the weather came in favor of us as it was a shinney day and we discovered the rough topography of the Himalayas covered with ice as like that kiss the sky on the above and made an amaging show on the way to gurudomba.In gurudomba we also were lucky to see a completely frozen lake and  we,6 people among the all tourists there went to the lake and played with ice despite of restriction.At that moment I felt it was the most joyous moment I had ever had.Then we came back to lachen again and after having lauch we went for Lachung.At night we reached there.

Next day morning we went for yumthang valley and zeo point from lachen.As the last day night was raining

through we got to see the snow all around us.It was amazing and pretty exciting to view such a scenario

in naked eyes.All the trees were also covered with snow which made an amazing view.We had not been able

to went to zero point as the road has been blocked with snow and ice.Still we have enjoyed a lot and to

the fullest that I could.

So,as those days passed our tour became much more exciting and we all experienced a lot and enjoyed the journey thoroughly.We all also invented something of our own.As like Obayeed told us how to measure the temparature of the weather with a meter scale  lol and I have invented there can be a coin of  Rs 3 lol :) and russel invented how to reset a place :).Well,it was a nice jouney and a bit adventurous too.We all will remember that expericence to cherish it thorughout the rest of our life.

The place, I call heaven

In my childhood days as like any other people I also had an idea about heaven as I am also from a holy family. My mother used to tell me a lot about heaven to inspire me to do good work in future.It is a kind of beautiful place where everybody over there are happy always and its a place far away above the real world.The people who worked well in his/her lifetime get a chance to be there after death.But as of now i don't believe in such a place far away from the real..But if this is the definition of a heaven then I will surely say my domicile as a heaven as I see.

When I started blogging since then I had a thought of writing something about such a place that gives me a lot and lots of childhood memories .Few days ago I came back from my village.The vivid colors and the golden periods of my life,the mild afternoon breeze and the memories of love and affection of the village peoples kept lingering in my mind till then and I can't just help me without writing something about the great place. 

Way back 24th of September,1989 a boy was lucky to born at Mundamari,a remote village of Paschim Medinipur and almost half an hour from kharagpur.It is the place which comprises not only of natural beauty but also of the kind hearten,simple human beings.Now I am writing something about the greatness of this place I had seen as I grew up in my childhood days.

It is difficult to capture the essence of such a place in a few words or even a few pictures, because what makes my village unique is more about what lies at the heart of the place than what lies at the surface of it.But when we do try to capture that essence in a few words, these are the words we that come frequently “A Place to Belong, A Place to Become,A heaven in real.” These phrases represent what we meant to be a man of that kind of place.

“A place to belong” represents the natural beauty of this place and the warm relation between the people lived there.Its a nice place to watch and to visit too though it is a very small place far away from a big city.Where the complete greenery make you feel afresh.If you are there you will feel its really a place to belong.Also it is "A place to become" and it is in the sense that when you are doing something good then not only you but the whole village is behind with you and that's what happened to me too.All the people can share success and failure of others though there are very few exception.This way a people can love other unconditionally.Beauty of this place and the simplicity of the people make this place as a heaven in real.I always feel lucky that I born in such a sweet place where all people loved me so much.

But I had to leave mu village after I passed my class 10th standard.Then I did not have any words to describe or better to say to feel.But today when I am writing I can feel the pain also because today I miss this place and the friends too much and I don't actually know whether I will be able to back there permanently or not
because I heard  the old,old man says "all that is beautiful drifts away like water" :(

An interview with the CGI people

                              
13th of March,2010 will be one of the memorable day in my life.The day I cracked the very first off-campus interview of my life.It is always an awesome feeling to be selected as many job as you are appeared for especially when it is an off-campus interview.

The company was CGI Information System and Management Consultants Pvt Ltd.I am not quite sure that you all are aware of this company before.It is one of the top software companies of Canada.Though I also never heard of the company before.But it is a pretty good company as I realized when I gone through the website of the company.As the package was not so better I was not so much interested to be there in kolkata for the interview.But few of my friends insist me to be there for the interview just to have a sort of experience about the off-campus interview as we had a  believe that an off campus interview always going to be a tough one.so last night we decided that we will be there for the interview.

So,the next day morning we went to the Astor hotel near at Park street, kolkata where the interview was supposed to held.It is a three star hotel and was good to have an interview lol.There was nothing to loose as I was sure that I will not going to join the company even if I got selected, but there was something to gain.That makes me much more confident because I knew that I am good at this kinda situation.There were people from JU,Durgapur NIT and BIT Meshra along with the BESU guys.

"The interview will be of four round"  hearing that my brain got encumbered as we used to have only two rounds of interview.But the process was faster enough.1st and the 2nd round was of Technical knowledge and last two rounds for the HR.I was in a mood of wash them out completely.Thank God ,in the very first round it happens fortunately as the guy started to ask me about my extra curricular activities and I completely out lashed him.I am sure that I got a very good certificate from that guy because the very next round was a complete mess but still I got selected for the HR rounds.And the next has nothing and finally I got selected.

The IPL cheerleader girls of Royal Challengers Bangalore were also in that hotel and we got a chance to meet with them.My process became over around 3:00 pm onwards.Honestly saying though I was not serious about the job but still its the joy of getting  selected let me forgot the tiredness of the hectic day.It was something good feeling.

As I said earlier in this very post that there was nothing to loose but something to gain that was what I thought before the interview but after the interview I got to realize that there were something to loose also when I was severely being drenched with the stuck from some well shaped biceps of my friends which were good enough to fracture few bones in my body.Still I will say its a very good experience and a huge confidence boost for me.

Soft engg. never die..they just go offline..

                                                   
Well,this is a quite funny title.But it is a true fact in many cases.Behind this title the busy lifestyle of a software engineer lies.It is the corporate lifestyle which as mean a lot of pressure or burden thrust your mind almost every time.In this corporate world people hardly get time to rest and the word 'casualness' seems to fed away in such world.

I am not a software engineer right now.I am still a student of final year.Still 3 more months to come to end of my college life.But I can now sense the situation how this world would welcome we people .Though I am not officially in this very profession but during the summer internship program for one and half of a month in some of the software company help me to figure out this sort of restless lifestyle.

What I actually realized is that though Its became major part of our society but somewhere still its like a different planet and it is in the sense that the way of communicating to each other,the working procedure and the way of having fun is not quite analogous to our custom life style.And of course the busyness of the people around from the very early morning to the evening.

But still there is a lot of fun in working in such innovative environment.It is up to the people how they can handle it and see it.Hope it will not be a problem for me because I love the two months I had spent during the summer vacation and I become a very good friend of my mentor Mr. Ujjwal Debnath.
          

With such kind of life style we can only say that they never die only the go offline that is the reason he/she seems to be not so often in our sight.

It was 24th of February,2010.The crowd of about 30000 peoples in Gwalior got to see an un seen moment of cricket history.All the cricket lovers all around the world will safely keep this moment into their mind,when the master blaster batsman,Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar become the first man in the planet to reach to the double ton mark in any one day International match.

We were actually feeling jealous of the Gwalior people.Although I was in front of the television set right from the beginning of this match.I have not missed out even a single delivery of the Indian innings.He is my role model as I already mentioned earlier in my very first post.The way he played today and just demolished the South African attack remind us the Sachin of 10 years earlier who always used to go after the opposition bowling.I think he was even much more destructive today.I even predicted that he will reach to the 200 when he just reach to his 46th ODI century.

The golden moment came in 49.3rd over of the Indian innings when he stears the ball of charls langeveldt in the point region.But before that it was breath taking.On the other side another dude MS Dhoni was the hitting almost every ball out of the park.But who cares?Every body wants that single run from sachin's bat.Finally that moment come which have not been occurred yet.    

In India cricket means a lot.Every children in India from their child hood usually plays cricket.And it almost become a culture or better to say become a religion which unifies peoples of all cast and religions in India.Sachin Tendulkar is the GOD of this religion.That's why the crown of first ODI double century only suited for the man with such caliber and passion to the cricket.

If any God exist then thank god that we get a player like him.I am really proud that I am an Indian too.

Oh!! shit NoT agAin...

Hurray! One thing I am very sure about the GATE examination 2010 is that my GATE score will be a non-negative value.That I can assure you.I will let you know about this on 15th of March.Anyway it's celebration time now.

This is the first time I have had such a casual competitive examination.I was so careless about the exam that I even forgot to bring some necessary things required for the examination.That,s why I enjoyed the whole 3 hours in the examination hall with answering almost all question.But still I can see that the score will be a positive number.:)Is not that a great achievement?

I was never such a casual guy before.But in last few years I was so engrossed into lot of fuss that it make me a damn casual guy.Though I like this change in mine.I had faced the problem before when expectation weigh heavily.That's why I am now trying to shun this type of expectations now a days and I am happy with that.

By the way I forgot to tell you that I am also sure that I will not have any GATE rank though its a positive number.It would be at least comprehensible if I will have a rank,whatever it may be. First time in my life I am going to be failed in any exam.I never thought of that matter before.This is really gotta be a embarrassing feeling.Now this really make me a bit ashamed about the fact that I should have been at least serious to have a rank.

Well,I never expect a good result from GATE.I gave what I was expecting to.That,s enough.So its time to move on and have a celebration in the joy of having a non-negative value.But I will try to be a bit serious in future in such cases so that this type of shit do not happen again. :)

Spring appear silently

Now its spring here in the eastern part of India.Without informing our unconscious mind slowly,silently and secretly the king of all seasons,the spring came here again with the grant relief to most of the people after such a numb-cold ,freezing weather.

I am writing this article because spring is my most favorite season of the year.As I am writing this article I can look out my window and see buds breaking upon and realize a new cycle of life is about to begin freshen up all of our withered dreams.Everything is fresh and new.The mild current of the fresh air smells different and the fragrance of the flower all around and the beautiful bright blue sky and the green glow of the grasses make the environment terrific.

I’m drawn to the feeling of new energy and new opportunities. It is that freshness of opportunity that gives me the drive to remove the cobwebs from my mind and to begin a new to see life as the miracle it is.I had gone passed 21 such springs.As it is the last spring here in my college life I want to make it special.I choose to grasp onto each morsel of spring and to allow them to give my life the jump start it needs to be creative, inventive, and whole as the trees bud and the flowers blossom around me.We,all of our friends have a plan to have a long trip to some part of India on this March.

That's why I like this season of the year very much. Hope as like every spring I had passed away this spring also bring me a lot of joy and internal satisfaction.

An Idiot should be like this

Its really a perfect example of an idiot who went across about 20 km away in the early morning just to get a T-shirt lol :).It was myself,Pravin and Tanmay ,the three perfect idiot.

It was very early about 4:00 am in the morning  when rest of the world was snoring in bed we got out of the bed because we had to be there by 7:30 am as the time of the competition was 8:00 am.We were so ambitious to take part in the competition, the biggest proof was that we, the people got up so early which was out of our imagination in last couple of years.The competition was of 12 km road race.Can somebody imagine a student of engineering went 20 km away in morning to participate in 12 km road race?

        It was really out of the imagination of the event co-ordinator or volunteers of that very event. SABEDA BAGAN, the club which arranged this event  at Behala,the place about 25 km away from shibpur.We went there to take part in road race and which was quite obvious that we will not be able to run whole 12 km.But still we went there instead of taking part in any event of our college tech-fest,INSTROU 2k10.so what is the reason behind that?????

        I am saying .Don't laugh at that.The main reason is that there was a T-shirt for each candidate who participate in that competition lol.Now you all think what sort of character is this?I am not sure if you will agree with me on or not but there is Only one answer,we are adventurous lol :).However that compelled us to go there.As we went there from BESU there was some special treatment for us as they sent an invitation letter to our honorable vice chancellor earlier.I was never good at running.As expected we had not been able to run the whole 12 km.Actually we ran hardly about 4 km.

        The good thing is that meanwhile we got a chance meet with Josh Ramirej Barreto,the "sabuj tota" of the Mohanbagan club who also went there to inaugurate the event.As we all know he is a great player and has some great contribution to Indian club football.  

      We all three though enjoyed the journey and the things a lot as it was something different.Got up so early in the morning and then got back to our hostel in time when we generally used to get out of our bed.Its always a healthy feeling to get up early in the morning.     

I think this is a perfect example of the activities of an Idiot.Is not it?

An eventfull day

Its been few days that i have not been able to write anything.Actually I was not in a mood to write something.Thats because of  the bad weather which caught me down in fever.Now I am feeling bit okay.
Though I always try to post something everyday but its not always be possible for me.

So I am writing today.Its been a very funny day in the sense that today I had to wait about of 10 minutes in front of the laboratory room door as profwas the most punctual person of our departmental faculty.Most surprisingly he is from Midnapur also :).Like everyday he told that "this fellow always become late" and ask the reason for getiing late lol.But today I answered differently as I was having the issue of fever not like everyday that "I got up late today".But what he suggested is that "then u should take rest".:)Actually I had some bad impression from the 3rd semester.I still remember that day becaue it was the first time in BESU that any prof force me to go out of the class room.Anyway atlast he allowed me to enter into the laboratory room
which I knew that.what I mean to say by this?The answer is that I am not at all punctual :(.

The anual sports competition started in my university today.The good thing is that for that we got a leave in the 2nd half.Pravin and Tanmay,two very close friend of mine were taking part in that competition.Tanmay in
100 meter race and pravin in 1000m.Thought I was not there in the play ground with them :(.The thing which was very obvious for us became the truth as they both pulls out of the very 1st round.:)

Actually I spent my time in Macdonald hall garden.From my childhood days I like this hobby.The new vice-chancelor really doing a good job by arranging such a competition for gardening among.We get some extra enthouasm for that.The exibitionwill be on 13th Feb.There is an existing garden.But still we are trying to make new beautiful garden.So we start the new garden today with the design of all architectural engineer live in Macdonald Hall.Here are some photo of the new and existing garden.After few days I will upload some photo of the new garden.
